Picture
Amazing Mahi-Mahi
Mahi-mahi is an extra lean, firm fish with a moderate flavor. Serve it with this flavorful sauce for an amazing entree.

4 (4 ounce) Mahi-Mahi fillets
3 tablespoons honey
3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
1/2 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
2 teaspoons chopped fresh garlic
2 teaspoons chopped fresh ginger
2 teaspoons chopped fresh cilantro
  1. Place mahi-mahi in a shallow dish.
  2. In a small bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, vinegar, lemon juice, garlic, and ginger. (If the honey is cold, place the combined ingredients in the microwave and heat for 30 seconds. Stir the sauce.)
  3. Pour the marinade over the fish, cover and refrigerate for 30-60 minutes.
  4. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees. Line a baking sheet with foil.
  5. Remove the fish from the marinade and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes. (If using steaks instead of fillets it may take longer to cook.)
  7. While fish is cooking, pour the marinade into a saucepan, add cilantro and bring to a simmer until reduced.
  8. Remove fish when done, place on serving platter, pour sauce over fish before serving.
