2 large potatoes, washed and dried
1/2 tablespoon olive oil

1/2 tablespoon olive oil
garlic powder to taste (optional)
salt and pepper to taste (optional)

- No need to peel the potatoes but you can if you want to. Cut the potatoes into 1/4 inch lengthwise slices.
- Lay two of the slices down and slice them into 1/4 inch strips. Repeat this step until you have cut all of the potato slices.
- Line a large rimmed baking sheet with foil. Coat the foil with cooking spray.
- In a medium bowl, mix the potatoes, olive oil, and the seasonings.
- Place the seasoned potatoes on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the middle of the oven for 15 minutes.
- Turn the french fries over and bake 5-10 minutes more. (Watch them very carefully so they don't burn.) Serve hot.
