Johnny Rice
A wonderful creamy rice that's simple with just enough flavor this is the most popular way to eat rice at our house. It's named after my son who made up the recipe at the table one night during dinner.

1 cup uncooked rice
2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
2 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
1/2 cup low-fat milk
  1. Pour chicken broth into medium saucepan, bring to a boil.
  2. Add rice to chicken broth, stir and bring to a boil again.
  3. Reduce heat to low, cover, and cook for about 15 minutes or until done.
  4. When rice is done combine, with the butter, soy sauce, and milk.
