Macaroni and Cheese
They don't call it comfort food for nothing! Creamy and loaded with cheddar cheese nothing satisfies like mac and cheese. There is no baking involved in this easy macaroni and cheese recipe it's all cooked on the stovetop.
Ingredients:
3/4 cup unsweetened plant based milk
4 tablespoons nutritional yeast
4 oz jar chopped pimentos
1 teaspoon miso paste
2 tablespoons arrowroot flour
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
8 ounces (2 cups) elbow macaroni
3/4 cup unsweetened plant based milk
4 tablespoons nutritional yeast
4 oz jar chopped pimentos
1 teaspoon miso paste
2 tablespoons arrowroot flour
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
8 ounces (2 cups) elbow macaroni
Directions:
- Place all ingredients except pasta in blender, blend until smooth.
- Pour into a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil.
- Cook for another 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Sauce is done when it becomes thick.
- In a large saucepan bring water to boil. Cook macaroni in boiling water for 8 minutes. (If you want al dente pasta only cook it for 6 minutes.)
- Drain pasta, place in a bowl and mix in the cheese sauce.
- You can serve immediately or cover and bake in a 350° for 30 minutes.
