Macerated Strawberries
Serve these delicious strawberries over pound cake, ice cream, yogurt, waffles, pancake, crepes or just eat them by themselves.
2 pounds fresh strawberries, rinsed, hulled and cut into 1/4-inch slices
1 tablespoon granulated sugar 2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar |
- In a large bowl, gently toss the strawberries with the sugar and vinegar.
- Let sit at room temperature about 30 minutes. (Don’t let the berries sit for more than 90 minutes, or they’ll start to collapse.)
