Onion Rings
These crispy onion rings are baked, not fried.
2 medium sweet white onions
1/2 cup flour 1 egg white 1/4 cup low fat milk |
1 cup Panko bread crumbs
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder 1/4 teaspoon onion powder |
- Pre-heat oven to 450 degrees. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. Coat with cooking spray.
- Peel and slice onions into 1/2-inch thick rings.
- In 1st shallow bowl place flour.
- In 2nd shallow bowl, combine egg white and milk.
- In 3rd shallow bowl place bread crumbs, garlic and onion powders.
- Dip onion rings in flour, then egg mixture and finally in bread crumbs.
- Place each onion ring on prepared baking sheet.
- Bake 10 minutes, turn and bake addition 10-15 minutes. Onion rings should be golden brown and crispy.
