Primetime Country-Style Ribs
This thick and tangy barbecue sauce makes these barbecued country-style ribs unforgettable.
1 pound pork country-style ribs
1/2 cup low-sodium ketchup 1/2 cup minced onion 1/2 tablespoon minced garlic 2 tablespoons brown sugar |
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons spicy mustard 2 tablespoons water 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper |
- Combine all ingredients (except pork) in a small saucepan. Cook 15 minutes over medium heat stirring well.
- Carefully blend sauce until smooth using an immersion blender. (Or transfer to a traditional blender being careful with the hot liquid.)
- Cook the blended BBQ sauce for another 10-15 minutes.
- Light grill, cook indirectly with cover on over medium heat for 30-40 minutes, or until done.
- Baste the ribs during the last 5-10 minutes of cooking time with the barbecue sauce.
