Teriyaki Sauce

Why buy teriyaki sauce when it is so easy to make. Try this flavorful Teriyaki sauce with toasted sesame seeds. They add nice depth to this simple flavorful homemade teriyaki sauce.

1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon sesame oil
5 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
2 teaspoons brown sugar
1/2 tablespoon minced fresh ginger or 1 teaspoon ground ginger
2 cloves minced garlic
2 teaspoons toasted sesame seeds (optional)
  1. Heat a heavy skillet over high heat. 
  2. Add sesame seeds. Toast the seeds stirring constantly until golden. (Watch out the seeds will start popping.)
  3. Mix all of the ingredients in a small bowl. Use the teriyaki sauce on chicken, fish, seafood, pork, or beef.
